Kindergarten and Elementary English Teacher

Brighton Kindergarten Gwangsan Branch is a kindergarten and elementary hagwon based in Suwan, Gwangju. We are seeking one teacher for an immediate start due to an unforeseen emergency. We currently employ 11 native teachers, averaging 2–4 years with us.

Key Information

• Salary: Minimum 2.65 million KRW/month
• Contract: 1 year (immediate/ASAP start)
• Schedule: Mon–Fri 9:00–18:00 (Tue/Wed finish at 16:30, Thu 17:40)
• Housing: Provided by the school, approximately 25 minutes' walk from the school; bus route available; cycling easy
• Neighborhood: Lively area with restaurants, bars, cafes, cinema, department store; quiet residential street
• Quarterly report cards
• Minimal contact with parents
• Curriculum provided
• Native head teacher available for easy communication
• Maximum class size: 12
• Student ages: 6–12 (average 7)
• Monthly field trips and themed activity days
• Pays into national health service, pension, etc.
• Flight provided on completion of contract
• Severance payment on completion of contract
