Secondary Science Teacher

Asia Language and British Alma (ALBA International School) is seeking an enthusiastic Secondary Teacher to teach Science in Yangon, Myanmar, with an August start date.

Job Details

• Science position - Year 8 Science
• Work hours: 8:15am-3:45pm, Monday-Friday
• Contract dates: 17th August 2026 - 15th March 2027
• Maximum of 25 contact hours per week

Requirements

• Fluent in English
• A bachelor's degree in any field of study (preferably Science)
• A TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA certificate
• Two years of teaching experience (those with less can still apply)
• Must be a passport holder of the following countries: UK, USA, Canada, South Africa, Australia, or New Zealand

Job Offer

• Salary of $1,700 - $1,900 USD per month
• Housing provided near the school campus (Central Yangon)
• Paid sick leave and paid national holidays
• Airport pick-up and assistance with getting to know the area upon arrival
• Business visas and work documents for all necessary government forms provided
