About this position
Theodore International School (TIS) in Chumphon, Thailand, is seeking a qualified Secondary Science Teacher to join our team.
Position Details
- Full-time position
- Teach High School Biology, Environmental Science, and General Science
- Working hours are from 10 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday
- Teach General Science to Grade 8, Biology to Grade 9, and Environmental Science to Grade 12
- Approximately 15 periods of teaching, equal to about 12 contact hours per week
- Additional tutoring for 4-5 hours between 5 pm and 6 pm
Benefits
- Salary of 31,000 baht per month, including housing and food stipends
- On-campus low-cost housing for 3,000 baht per month
- Free lunch on working days
- Extra income through tutoring opportunities at 200 to 500 baht per hour
- Summer school tutoring in June at 500 baht per hour
- 35 paid holidays between August and June
- Extended breaks during Christmas/New Year and Thai Songkran in April
Contract
The contract runs from August 3, 2026, to June 4, 2027.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Science
- Transcript
- Background check
- Previous experience teaching Science at the secondary or high school level is an advantage
- TEFL certification is an advantage
- Familiarity with educational technology such as Google Classroom is an advantage
- High proficiency in English
