PBISS International School, Koh Samui is seeking a Secondary Physical Education (PE) Teacher to promote physical fitness, well-being, and an active lifestyle among students. The role involves delivering engaging PE lessons, developing students' physical skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship, and fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment. You will contribute to the development of the PE curriculum and work collaboratively within a multicultural school community.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons appropriate to students' age, ability, and cultural background.
• Teach a variety of sports, games, and physical activities focusing on movement skills, technique, strategy, and fair play.
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and respect in all activities.
• Plan and implement a progressive PE curriculum using a variety of teaching methods and resources.
• Adapt teaching strategies to support students with different learning styles and abilities.
• Promote healthy lifestyles by educating students about physical fitness, nutrition, and personal wellbeing.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
• Ensure student safety during all PE activities and follow school health and safety procedures.
• Organise and supervise extracurricular sports activities, tournaments, and school events.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student development.
• Participate in school events, meetings, professional development activities, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Contribute positively to the wider school community and uphold the school's mission and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field.
• Teaching qualification or certification preferred.
• Previous experience teaching Physical Education, preferably in an international or multicultural school.
• Strong knowledge of sports, physical fitness, and wellness practices.
• Ability to design engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
