PBISS International School, Koh Samui is seeking a Secondary Physical Education (PE) Teacher to promote physical fitness, well-being, and an active lifestyle among students. The role involves delivering engaging PE lessons, developing students' physical skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship, and fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment. You will contribute to the development of the PE curriculum and work collaboratively within a multicultural school community.
Responsibilities- Design and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons appropriate to students' age, ability, and cultural background.
- Teach a variety of sports, games, and physical activities focusing on movement skills, technique, strategy, and fair play.
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and respect in all activities.
- Plan and implement a progressive PE curriculum using a variety of teaching methods and resources.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support students with different learning styles and abilities.
- Promote healthy lifestyles by educating students about physical fitness, nutrition, and personal wellbeing.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
- Ensure student safety during all PE activities and follow school health and safety procedures.
- Organise and supervise extracurricular sports activities, tournaments, and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student development.
- Participate in school events, meetings, professional development activities, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Contribute positively to the wider school community and uphold the school's mission and values.
- Comply with and actively support all school policies and procedures.
- Follow school health and safety policies and ensure a safe learning environment.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by PBISS management.
- Support school-wide initiatives and projects that benefit the organisation.
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field.
- Teaching qualification or certification preferred.
- Previous experience teaching Physical Education, preferably in an international or multicultural school.
- Strong knowledge of sports, physical fitness, and wellness practices.
- Ability to design engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Monthly salary: 62,000 THB
