Primary SEN Teacher

SKT International School is hiring a Primary SEN Teacher.
Key duties include creating IEPs, adapting the primary curriculum, and supporting students with learning differences.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique learning needs, strengths, and goals of primary school students.
- Differentiate and modify standard primary curriculum and learning materials to ensure accessibility for students with diverse learning needs, such as Autism spectrum, ADHD, Dyslexia, and speech/language delays.
- Provide specialized one-on-one and small-group instruction in resource rooms or through co-teaching models in mainstream primary classrooms.
- Work closely with general classroom teachers, teaching assistants, school counselors, and external specialists such as speech therapists and occupational therapists to support student development.
- Continuously assess and record student academic and behavioral progress, adjust interventions as needed, and report regularly to parents and leadership.
- Create a safe, encouraging, and structured classroom environment that fosters independence, confidence, and positive behavior.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Primary Education, or a related field. A Master’s in SEN is preferred.
- Valid teaching license or state/national certification in Special Education.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience working as an SEN or Learning Support teacher at the primary school level.
- Strong knowledge of primary curriculum adaptations, multi-sensory teaching methods, and positive behavior support strategies.
- Demonstrated experience in writing, tracking, and implementing IEPs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with parents, staff, and external specialists.
- Patience, empathy, adaptability, and strong classroom management skills.
