Primary English Teacher

Anglo Singapore International School in Bangkok is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced native English-speaking (NES) Primary English Teacher to join our team. This full-time position begins at the end of July or the beginning of August 2026.

As a Primary English Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Cambridge Primary First Language English, focusing on developing literacy foundations, communication skills, and critical thinking. You will also serve as a homeroom teacher, providing pastoral care and support for students' personal development and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching Cambridge Primary First Language English according to curriculum guidelines.
• Planning and delivering structured lessons to enhance reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
• Supporting students whose first language is not English while maintaining high academic standards.
• Assisting in phonics, reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and writing skills development.
• Using assessments to monitor student progress and tailor support as needed.
• Providing constructive feedback to improve English language skills.
• Acting as a homeroom teacher and ensuring a positive and supportive classroom environment.
• Communicating effectively with parents about students' progress and well-being.
• Collaborating with colleagues for curriculum consistency and participating in school events and professional development.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Primary Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent.
• At least 2–3 years of experience teaching Primary English.
• Familiarity with the Cambridge Primary English curriculum and experience teaching English to non-native speakers.
• Experience in international or multilingual settings is advantageous.
• Excellent English proficiency and strong communication skills.
• Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
