Primary and Secondary Teachers - Yangon

ALBA International School is seeking enthusiastic Primary and Secondary teachers to join our team in Yangon, Myanmar. (May start date)

Job Details

Primary positions

• Year 3 English, Year 5 English, Year 5 Math & Geography
• Work hours: 8:15am–3:45pm, Monday–Friday
• Contract dates: 15 May 2026 – 15 March 2027 (earlier summer school positions also possible)
• Maximum of 25–30 contact hours per week

Secondary position

• Years 7–9 History
• Work hours: 8:15am–3:45pm, Monday–Friday
• Contract dates: 15 May 2026 – 15 March 2027 (earlier summer school positions also possible)
• Maximum of 25–30 contact hours per week

Weekend positions

• ESL classes available for all ages (4–18 years)
• Work hours: 9:00am–5:30pm (Saturdays and Sundays). Part-time also available
• Contract start dates: 1 March 2026 (1 year) or 1 June 2026 (1 year)
• Maximum of 5–15 contact hours per weekend (hourly paid at $22/hr)

Requirements

• Fluent in English
• A bachelor’s degree in any field (preferably Education)
• A TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA certificate
• Two years’ teaching experience (those with less can still apply)
• Must hold a passport from one of the following countries: UK, USA, Canada, South Africa, Australia, or New Zealand

Job Offer

• Salary: $1,700 - $1,900 USD per month (weekend positions paid hourly)
• Housing provided near the school campus (central Yangon)
• Paid sick leave and paid national holidays
• Airport pick-up and assistance with orientation upon arrival
• Business visas and work documents for all necessary government forms provided
