Position Details

• Start date: Immediately upon completion of the recruitment process.
• Teaching hours: Guaranteed approximately 30 hours per week.
• Students: Adult professionals over the age of 18.
• Student locations: Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and South America.
• Remuneration: Base rate of 10 USD per hour.
• Contract type: You will be contracted by The Really Great Teacher Company as an Independent Service Provider.
• Location: Work from the convenience of your home.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver English lessons and guidance to students.
• Create a fun and engaging classroom environment by facilitating one-on-one or group instruction and using world-class teaching methods.
• Lead discussions, assess student performance, and provide constructive feedback.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in any field
• Completed, accredited 120-hour or above TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA
• 6 months of teaching or tutoring experience
• English first-language speaker from USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand
• Must be based in Central America, South America, or South-East Asia (Mexico, Brazil, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Bali, etc.)
• Computer literacy
• Clear criminal record
• Engaging and inspiring communication skills
• Punctual and precise timekeeping
• Availability to fit into allocated teaching shift slots
• Alignment with The Really Great Teacher Company's values and culture

Tech Requirements

• PC specifications: Intel Core i5 CPU @ 2.0GHz (8 CPUs) or greater
• Memory: 8GB RAM or greater
• Backup power: Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) with a battery life of up to 4-5 hours (2000VA), or willingness to purchase one before commencing teaching. This is applicable and a non-negotiable requirement for candidates based in a country where regular power interruptions occur.
• Stable fibre internet connection: at least 20 Mbps upload and download speeds
• PC connected via a LAN cable, not via Wi-Fi
• Noise-cancelling headset and HD web camera; a backup headset is highly recommended
• Tidy, well-lit, and quiet teaching environment
