Native English Teacher in Uiwang Korea

Joe's English Academy in Uiwang, Gyeonggi-do is looking for a full-time Native English Teacher to begin in September 2026. We have a solid reputation for providing a fun and caring learning environment for elementary students. Our academy, co-owned by a British/Korean couple, emphasizes smooth communication and creativity within our established curriculum. Located in Uiwang, Poil-dong, we are easily accessible from Indeogwon and Pyeongchon stations, making it suitable for commuters from Seoul and nearby areas.

Position

• Teaching hours: MWF 2:30-7:00, TT 3-7
• Working hours: MWF 12:30-7:00, TT 1-7 (with the possibility of a later prep start time)
• Students: Elementary
• Class size: Max 8
• Class type: Phonics, speaking, reading, writing, basic grammar
• Class materials provided, with some planning required
• Minimal admin work

Pay and Benefits

• Salary: 2.3-2.6m KRW per month plus 400,000 KRW housing stipend
• 15 days vacation plus red days
• Severance pay
• 50:50 insurance and pension per Korean law

Applicants Must

• Be legally allowed to work in Korea
• Be a native English speaker from the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa
• Be energetic and able to connect with students of varying levels
• Have strong communication skills
• Preference for F visa holders in Korea; E2 visa sponsorship possible
