Mandarin Teacher
About this position
Knightsbridge House International School in Nonthaburi is seeking a Mandarin Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Mandarin lessons that help students develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. The role requires creating a supportive learning environment that fosters an appreciation for Chinese language and culture.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
- Deliver high-quality Mandarin lessons aligned with the school curriculum and learning objectives.
- Use engaging activities to enhance students' Mandarin language skills.
- Tailor teaching methods and materials to accommodate varying student abilities and learning needs.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of student learning and achievement.
- Prepare teaching resources and classroom activities.
Classroom Management
- Create a positive, inclusive, and organized classroom environment.
- Manage student behavior effectively according to school policies.
- Encourage active participation and confidence in using Mandarin.
- Foster respect, responsibility, and positive relationships among students.
Collaboration & Professional Duties
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and academic staff.
- Communicate with parents about students' learning and development as needed.
- Participate in staff meetings, school events, professional development, and other activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Mandarin/Chinese Language, or a related field.
- Preferred teaching qualification or recognized teaching certification.
- Strong Mandarin proficiency, ideally at a native or near-native level.
- Experience teaching Mandarin, especially in an international or bilingual school.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to create engaging learning experiences.
- Proficient in English for communication with colleagues and the school community.
