About this position
The Language Learning Centre in Maldives is seeking ESL teachers to join our team for the academic year 2026, from 1 February to 17 December 2026.
About Us
LLC Maldives is the oldest and first language school in the nation and a trailblazer in language education and international testing in the region. We are partnered with the British Council, Cambridge University, Alliance Francaise, Chinese Test Center and provide courses and exams for all ages and proficiency levels.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching ESL
- Experience living and working overseas (preferably in Asia)
- Degree in ESOL, English, Linguistics, Education or a related field (required for work visa)
- Experience teaching both in-class and online
- Friendly, easy-going and adaptable personality
- Patient and caring with students
- Native speaker or near-native English competence

Responsibilities
- Contract period: 1 February 2026 until 17 December 2026
- Teaching ESL across various age groups and levels (kindergarten, young learners and teenagers)
- Five-day work week (Sunday–Thursday)
- Assignments may be in multiple locations, including the capital area and remote local islands (placement based on allocation)
