About this position
The Language Learning Centre in Maldives is looking for ESL teachers to join the team in the 2026 academic year, from 1 February to 17 December 2026.
About UsLLC Maldives is the eldest and first language school in the country and a pioneer of language education and international examinations in the region. We are affiliated with British Council, Cambridge University, Alliance Francaise and Chinese Test Center, and offer courses and examinations for all ages and competence levels.
Qualifications- Minimum 2 years' experience teaching ESL
- Experience living and working abroad (preferably Asia)
- Degree in ESOL, English, Linguistics, Education or related area (required for work visa)
- Experience teaching in class as well as online
- Friendly, easy-going and adaptable nature
- Patient and caring with students
- Native speakers or near-native competence in English
- Salary of 23,500 Rf per month
- Airfare reimbursement
- Accommodation provided by the school
- Work visa and permits arranged by the school
- Health insurance
- Contract dates: 1 February 2026 to 17 December 2026
- Teaching ESL to various age groups and levels (kindergarten, young learners & teenagers)
- Five-day working week (Sunday–Thursday)
- Positions across various locations: capital area and remote local islands (based on allocation)
