High School ESL Teacher for the Sino-US Program at No. 7 High School in Zhengzhou, Henan Province.
Schedule & Salary
- Up to 18 teaching hours per week, plus 5 office hours for monitoring and assisting students
- 18,000 RMB per month
- Accommodation paid
- 10,000 RMB flight allowance
- Overtime is paid for hours over 72 hours in a month
- Winter holiday is paid in full
Requirements
- Experienced native-English teacher with a strong background in ESL
- Additional experience teaching TOEFL, IELTS, Pearson, or SAT is a plus
- Experience teaching study skills and/or academic English is preferred
- High school teaching experience is strongly preferred
- At least 3 years of teaching experience at any level is required to secure a work permit
The high school is ranked in the Top 5 in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province. All of the students in the Sino-US program will go abroad to study at university in the USA, Canada, or the UK. Class sizes are limited to 25 students maximum, and classes are 80 minutes long, including a 10-minute break. All students are in grades 10–12.
Responsibilities
- Work with colleagues to develop a syllabus
- Develop lesson plans and adapt them to students’ English ability
- Be diligent, punctual, and focused on the students’ best interests
Contract
Contract starts on 1st Sept 2026 (can be October depending on work permit issuance) until the end of June 2026, renewable by agreement of both parties. Individual furnished accommodation is provided, 15-minute walk from the school and close to the subway.
