Grade 2 IB PYP Homeroom Teacher
About this position
British Columbia International School Bangkok (BCISB) is seeking an enthusiastic, caring, and experienced Grade 2 Homeroom Teacher to join our Elementary School team for the 2026–2027 academic year. As an IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), BCISB is committed to providing engaging, inquiry-driven learning experiences that encourage students to become curious, confident, internationally minded learners.
The Role
The successful candidate will serve as a Grade 2 Homeroom Teacher, creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment while planning and delivering engaging learning experiences within the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). We are looking for an educator who values student agency, inquiry, conceptual understanding, collaboration, and the development of the whole child.
Qualifications
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field with a recognised teaching qualification/licence
- Has experience teaching at the Elementary/Primary level
- Has a strong understanding of child-centred and inquiry-based teaching and learning
- Builds positive and supportive relationships with students
- Uses assessment effectively to inform teaching and differentiate learning
- Works collaboratively with colleagues in planning and reflecting on learning
- Communicates professionally and positively with parents and the wider school community
- Is enthusiastic about contributing to school life beyond the classroom
- Is adaptable, reflective, and committed to continued professional growth
Previous IB PYP experience is highly desirable; however, teachers with strong elementary experience and a genuine willingness to learn and embrace the PYP are encouraged to apply.
