About Arounz Academy

Arounz Academy is a specialized language institute for international school students and study-abroad applicants. Our students range from pre-K to university applicants, and we pride ourselves on a warm, relaxed, and professional learning environment.

Our team consists of approximately 20 freelance Korean teachers and native English teachers across different departments. Students are assigned to 1:1 classes based on each teacher's strengths and teaching style, ensuring the best possible fit for both teacher and student.

We are currently looking for full-time and freelance native English teachers to lead speaking group classes and 1:1 sessions.

• Group classes are small and intimate — 7 students maximum (average 3–5 students per class)

Most of our teachers have been with us since the academy was founded and continue to be part of our team today.

Location & Access

• 3-minute walk from Jeongja Station (Sinbundang Line)
• 5-minute walk from Jeongja Station (Suin-Bundang Line)

Public transportation is very convenient. Jeongja-dong, Bundang is just 15 minutes from Gangnam by subway — cleaner and more spacious than Seoul. Home to major corporate headquarters such as Naver and SK, it is a safe and stylish neighborhood popular among high-income residents.

Position Details

• Position: Full-Time / Freelance Native English Teacher
• Class format: In-person
• Working days: Monday – Friday
• Working hours: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Start date: June 2026

Busy season: June–August / December–March
Lighter season: March–May / September–November
(Some days may have no scheduled classes during lighter seasons.)

Schedules may vary week to week depending on the 1:1 class timetable.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct 1:1 speaking sessions tailored to individual students
• Prepare and deliver IELTS / TOEFL group speaking classes
• Manage and review student homework, essays, and self-study
• Provide detailed feedback on student performance and progress
• During lighter schedules, assist with simple academy tasks or spend time casually engaging with students

Salary & Benefits

Full-Time:

• Salary: 2,700,000 KRW + 300,000 KRW housing allowance
• Total package: 3,000,000 KRW per month
• Salary negotiable based on experience
• 4 National Insurances (pension, health, employment & occupational safety)
• Vacation: All national holidays + 12 days paid vacation (first year)
• Housing is not provided, but the housing allowance is included in the salary
• Assistance with finding accommodation is available upon request
• Airfare is negotiable for candidates currently based outside Korea

Freelance:

• Hourly rate and hours to be discussed

Preferred Qualifications

• Native English speaker
• Currently residing in Korea preferred
• Experience with IELTS / TOEFL instruction is a plus
• Friendly, approachable, and warm personality
