About this position
Due to the continued expansion of our high-quality dance programme, HeadStart International School is seeking two qualified and experienced full-time dance coaches.
Roles- Coach 1: Jazz and Ballet
- Must be ballet/Jazz qualified (e.g. ATOD/CSTD/ISTD/RAD)
- Teaching on our Cherngtalay campus
- Teaching agreed hours within Monday–Saturday
- Contract start date negotiable, ideally 1st June 2026
- Coach 2: Hip Hop, Gymnastics and Cheerleading
- Teaching on both HeadStart campuses — Chaofah (4 days) & Cherngtalay (2 days)
- Teaching agreed hours within Monday–Saturday
- Contract start date negotiable, ideally 1st August 2026
The successful candidates will join a passionate and talented team, contributing to our successes at ATOD, our annual Dance Recitals featuring over 120 students, and our large-scale musical theatre productions presented through CAPA. This is an exciting opportunity for dynamic individuals who bring strong teaching skills, creative choreography, infectious energy, and a collaborative spirit.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver high-quality dance classes in the assigned styles and campuses
- Create and teach choreography for recitals and productions
- Assess student progress; all classes are taught and assessed in English
- Support students’ physical development and safe technique, especially for tumbling (Coach 2)
- Relevant dance qualifications and experience in the style(s) applied for
- For Coach 1: recognised ballet/Jazz qualifications (e.g. ATOD, CSTD, ISTD, RAD)
- For Coach 2: experience in Hip Hop, Gymnastics and Cheerleading, including supporting tumbling skills
- English proficiency is essential; certification evidence may be required
- A solo performance video in one of the styles relevant to the role applied for
- A video recording of yourself teaching a class or workshop in a different style from the first video
- For the Hip Hop, Gymnastics and Cheerleading role only: a video demonstrating the techniques you use to support students when developing their tumbling skills
- The role will initially be offered as a two-year contract, subject to a probationary period
- Teaching hours and days to be agreed within Monday–Saturday as noted above
