About this position
YES USA is seeking enthusiastic teachers to join our summer program for international teenagers. Teachers deliver engaging English lessons and lead cultural activities and sightseeing excursions, creating a dynamic and immersive learning experience for students. This role combines classroom teaching with student supervision during extracurricular trips.
We have housing available in shared university dorms.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching
- Deliver engaging, communicative English lessons following the YES USA curriculum
- Monitor attendance, assess student progress, and complete weekly evaluation reports
- Maintain a positive and collaborative classroom environment
Activities & Excursions
- Lead and supervise cultural excursions to tourist sites in each location
- Share information about local culture, history, and attractions in an engaging way
- Follow itineraries while maintaining flexibility to adapt to program needs
- Greet students at the airport and help with student welcome and check-in day
- Supervise and keep students engaged during on-campus activities, such as Karaoke Night, Sports Day, and Dance Parties
- Ensure student safety and participation during all activities and excursions
General Program Support
- Act in loco parentis to ensure and maintain student discipline, welfare, safety, and security whenever in contact with students
- Support session opening and closing tasks such as campus tours and room checks
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (TESOL, Linguistics, English, or a related field preferred)
- ESL teaching certification (CELTA or equivalent)
- Experience teaching ESL to teenagers
- Native or near-native English proficiency
- Legal authorization to work in the United States

Schedule
This is an intensive residential-style program. Staff should expect a full schedule that includes teaching, excursions, and activities. Teacher/Activity Counselors are guaranteed one day off per week.
