Position Overview

The Director of National Programs leads enrollment for the Native English Program at the MAXIMO NIVEL institute in Antigua, Guatemala. The Director is responsible for sales, client service, class scheduling, diagnostic testing, and matriculation. This role manages a team of 2-3 shared office staff and oversees the front office operations, including opening, closing, cashing out, and enrolling learners into English classes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead enrollment and matriculation into the Native English Program.
  • Manage daily front office logistics (opening, closing, cashing out, enrollments).
  • Supervise and train a team of 2-3 shared office staff.
  • Provide excellent client service and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Sell group programs to corporate clients (hotels, banks, restaurants, tour operators, and other businesses).
  • Work closely with the Academic Director on scheduling and service quality to maximize monthly matriculations.
  • Collaborate with the Country Manager and the Director of International Programs as a member of the Executive Team.
  • Use data and metrics to set goals, analyze performance, and support business decisions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification preferred.
  • Fluent English; advanced Spanish required.
  • 2–5 years professional experience, ideally in sales or client service.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and G-Suite.
  • Strong team skills and a willingness to lead and manage a cross-cultural team; excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Results-focused: adept at setting goals and managing competing priorities.
  • Metric-driven: able to understand, analyze, and present data to support business decisions.
