English Professor at Soonchunhyang University

Soonchunhyang University in Asan, Korea has openings for a full-time English professor.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must have a Master’s degree, 2 years of teaching experience at a university or public school, and a high level of English proficiency.
• Applicants who completed a Master’s degree in one year or less must have at least 3 years of teaching experience at a university or public school.
• Degree in Education, English, or TESOL; CELTA or TEFL certificate preferred.
• Period of employment: September 1, 2026 – August 31, 2027.
• F-visa or E-1/E-2 visa holder who is currently in Korea is preferred.
• Please note that the final candidate will be required to attend a face-to-face interview.

Main Responsibilities

• 15 contact hours per week; overtime will be paid for any hours exceeding 15 contact hours per week.

Salary & Benefits

• 2,444,000 KRW per month basic starting salary with a Master’s degree.
• There are many opportunities for overtime if you are willing to do it.
• Overtime rate is 33,000 KRW per hour.
• Minimum 10 weeks paid vacation.
• Medical insurance 50/50.
• Korea Teachers Pension.
• Provided furnished one-room apartment or a housing stipend of 350,000 KRW per month.
• Travel allowance of 1,000,000 KRW will be paid at the end of the final contract period.
