Elementary Montessori Assistant Teacher

Montessori Academy Bangkok International School is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Elementary Assistant Teacher to join our expanding team. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity for educators who enjoy working with children, value teamwork, and seek professional development within a genuine Montessori setting.

In this role, the Elementary Assistant Teacher will support the Montessori Lead Guide in maintaining a calm, engaging, and well-prepared classroom environment. The successful candidate will receive on-the-job Montessori training and mentorship to gain confidence in the role.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom operations.
• Support classroom management and supervise students.
• Help prepare and maintain an orderly and inviting learning environment.
• Deliver selected lessons and small-group activities under the Lead Teacher's guidance.
• Support student well-being, independence, and positive social development.
• Assist with projects, field trips, and special school activities.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum Bachelor's degree (Education, English, or a related field preferred).
• Native English speaker.
• Preferably at least 3 years of teaching experience.
• Passionate about working with children and supporting their development.
• Professional, positive, and reliable attitude.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Creative, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Internationally minded and culturally sensitive.
• Commitment to child safeguarding and school policies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Montessori training or experience.
• Experience with Project-Based Learning or the International Baccalaureate (IB).
• Special Education qualifications or experience.
• Background in child psychology or a related field.
