Elementary English Teacher in Taiwan

Position Details

• Located near Xike Train Station, about 20 minutes from Taipei Main Station
• Competitive hourly rate: NT$600 to NT$800
• Around 30 teaching hours per week
• Free furnished accommodation, saving up to NT$10,000 per month
• Total take-home pay of over NT$72,000
• Working hours are Monday to Friday in the afternoons and evenings
• Three nights per week end at 9:00 PM

Teaching Environment

Teachers work alongside in-class co-teachers to effectively manage classrooms with 20+ students. The school uses the Oxford Discover series to go beyond traditional ESL teaching, focusing on critical 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity. The curriculum also includes character-building storybooks to support emotional and social learning.
