EIE Academy is hiring a native English teacher to work with elementary and middle school students. EIE is a well-known academy brand in Korea, and this position is with a locally operated branch that manages three campuses in the Mokpo and Muan area.

This is a collaborative and supportive workplace. Teachers work closely together, share ideas, and help each other. We follow a set curriculum with textbooks, and training is provided, so lessons are structured and easy to manage.

Schedule

• Mon/Wed/Fri: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Tue/Thu: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Teach English classes for elementary and middle school students
• Follow the curriculum and textbooks
• Plan simple activities
• Teach and review vocabulary
• Encourage student speaking and participation
• Maintain a positive classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with other teachers

Work Environment

You will teach across two campuses (Mokpo and Muan), but only one location per day, for example, three days at one campus and two days at the other. The commute between locations is easy by bus and manageable.

We aim to provide a stable, respectful, and transparent workplace. Previous teachers have had a positive experience, and a former teacher can be contacted for a reference if requested.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: 2,400,000 KRW per month
• Housing: Housing provided, or a 300,000 KRW monthly allowance in lieu of housing
• Insurance: National Health Insurance and Pension, per Korean law
• Vacation: Standard paid vacation days plus national holidays

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Native English speaker
• Willing to commit to a one-year contract
• Comfortable working in a team environment

E-2 Visa

• Citizen of the USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa
• Degree from one of these countries
• Eligible for an E-2 visa with an apostilled degree and criminal background check

F-Series Visa (F-6, F-5, F-2, etc.)

• Valid visa with permission to work in Korea
• Apostilled degree
• Korean criminal background check
