Description

The Director of National Programs leads enrollment for the Native English Program at the Maximo Nivel Institute in Antigua, Guatemala. The Director is responsible for sales, client service, class scheduling, diagnostic testing, and matriculation. The role includes managing a team of 2-3 shared office staff and overseeing front office operations such as opening, closing, cashing out, and enrolling learners into English classes. Generating enthusiasm within the team and with clients about delivering excellent service and meeting monthly matriculation goals is an important part of the position.

The Director works directly with individual students to matriculate them into the program and with corporate clients to sell group programs to hotels, banks, restaurants, tour operators, and other businesses. The National Director collaborates closely with the Academic Director, the Country Manager, and the Director of International Programs as a member of the Executive Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree preferred
• TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification preferred
• Fluent English; Advanced Spanish required
• 2-5 years professional experience, ideally in sales or client service
• Strong administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and G-Suite
• Strong team skills and enthusiasm for team training; ready to lead and manage a cross-cultural team
• Results focused—skilled at increasing matriculations, setting goals, and managing competing priorities
• Metric driven; able to understand, analyze, and present data to support business decisions
