Cambridge Primary English Teacher

The One World International School in Yangon, Myanmar is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and committed Cambridge Primary English Teacher to join our growing international school. Key Responsibilities

• Teach Cambridge Primary English across Years 1–6.
• Deliver engaging lessons covering phonics, reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
• Plan lessons aligned with Cambridge curriculum objectives and progression standards.
• Assess and track student attainment, identify learning gaps, and provide appropriate support and intervention.
• Prepare students for Cambridge Primary Checkpoint assessments at the end of Year 6.
• Support students for whom English is an additional language.
• Create a positive classroom environment with high expectations for learning and behaviour.
• Communicate effectively with parents and contribute to the wider life of the school.

Requirements

• Recognised teaching qualification and relevant degree.
• Experience teaching English at primary level.
• Strong knowledge of phonics and literacy development.
• Experience with the Cambridge International curriculum is desirable.
• Confidence teaching students with varying levels of English proficiency.
• Good classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
• A collaborative approach and commitment to student progress and wellbeing.
