Young Learners Phonics Math Science Teacher

Wonder Learn Academy in Songkhla, Thailand is looking for a highly committed teacher for young learners. This is a high-performance, fast-paced, results-driven environment, and only serious, responsible, and highly committed teachers should apply.

Position: Phonics & Grammar + Science & Math Teacher (Young Learners)

Requirements

• Native English speaker or near-native (age not over 60)
• Female teacher preferred
• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience
• Bachelor’s degree (Education or related field preferred)
• TEFL / TESOL / CELTA (or equivalent) preferred
• Strong expertise in phonics and grammar
• Able to teach Science & Math in English
• Confident teaching young learners aged 3–8
• Able to teach students with very limited English

Core Competencies

• Strong understanding of child development
• Excellent communication and classroom presence
• Ability to break down concepts into simple, clear steps
• Skilled in teaching phonics decoding, blending, and reading development
• Able to assess student level and adjust lessons accordingly

Performance Standards

• Every class must deliver clear, measurable learning outcomes
• Students must be able to explain what they learned within 1 hour
• Strong classroom control for active and slow learners
• Ability to adjust teaching instantly based on student understanding
• Maximize learning time — no passive teaching

Selection Process

• Demo teaching required
• Mandatory trial teaching with real students before hiring
• Probation period: 1–3 months (performance-based)
• KPI evaluation before full confirmation

Schedule

• Mon–Thu: 3:00 PM – 7:30 PM
• Sat–Sun: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Friday: Off

Salary

• 20,000–35,000 THB (based on performance only)

Accommodation

• 3,500 THB/month for an air-conditioned room
• Utilities: approximately 1,500–2,000 THB
• 5-minute walk to school
