About this position
About Us
Victory Afghanistan is a volunteer-led nonprofit providing free online education, mentoring, and university preparation for Afghan girls and women who have been banned from attending school or university since 2021. We currently support more than 800 students aged 11 to 40 through English lessons and mentorship, helping them prepare for higher education opportunities abroad. Victory Afghanistan was founded by four Afghan women and is a registered 501 C3 nonprofit based in Chicago.
We are supported by over 150 volunteers from 24 different countries and are about to begin our sixth semester.

About the Role
We are recruiting additional volunteer English instructors for our next semester. Teaching experience or a TEFL certificate is helpful but not essential. All curriculum materials, lesson plans, and assessments are provided. Instructors with IELTS experience may have the opportunity to support advanced students preparing for university entry; this is optional rather than a requirement.
About the Students
Classes typically consist of around 12 female students aged between 18 and 24, all based in Afghanistan. Many students join via mobile phones and may have limited internet access, so flexibility and patience are important.
