University Business EAP Teacher

QIBA is seeking a native English speaker to join its team of EAP instructors teaching university freshman students in Tianjin, China. The program focuses on English for Academic Purposes, business foundations, and university preparation.

The position starts as soon as possible and runs until early July 2027. The program aims to prepare students for study toward a Bachelor of Business Administration degree delivered entirely in English. The learning materials will be prepared, with the opportunity to enhance them to meet the goals of the program.

The location is Tianjin, Hexi district.

Offer

• Salary: 14,000 RMB/month (negotiable)
• Hours: up to 20 class hours per week (45-minute lessons); ordinarily no weekends or evenings, plus planning meetings with the rest of the team and some student support as needed
• Holidays: winter vacation during January and February (approximately 7-8 weeks) will be paid with full salary
• Housing: housing stipend or free single on-campus apartment provided (not shared), with utilities paid
• Completion bonus: one full month's salary will be paid on completion of the contract in July 2027

Requirements

• Age below 58 due to visa restrictions
• Native English speaker with a passport from the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Ireland, etc.
• Applicants with other nationalities cannot be considered unless they have relevant graduate or postgraduate qualifications
• At least a bachelor's degree and a TESOL/TEFL or similar certificate
• At least two years of experience preferred
