We are seeking an experienced academic leader to drive teacher development, academic quality, and instructional excellence across a network of more than 200 teachers delivering English programmes in over 70 public and private schools throughout Hanoi. This is a senior academic leadership role with significant influence across the organisation.
Working closely with the Academic Manager, Deputy Academic Manager, Academic Coordinators, and Regional Head Teachers, you will help shape teacher development strategy, strengthen academic quality systems, and support organisation-wide improvement initiatives.

Contract Hours
This position requires 44 onsite working hours per week, typically from Monday to Friday. Weekend work may occasionally be required depending on operational needs.
Working Location
This position is based in Hanoi, with regular travel to other Schools Link centres, partner schools, and offsite training locations as required.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree and a recognised teaching qualification (CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL, or equivalent) are required
- At least five years of ESL teaching experience, preferably within public school environments
- At least two years of experience in academic leadership, teacher development, or teacher training roles
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and teacher development skills
- Proven experience improving teaching quality through systems, training, and academic leadership
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong digital literacy and the ability to leverage technology to improve academic quality, efficiency, and teacher development
Duties and Responsibilities
Training Needs Analysis & Planning:
- Conduct a system-wide Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
- Develop annual and termly training plans for different target groups
- Propose and update KPIs/metrics to measure training impact
Program Development:
- Design training programs, workshops, and PD resources for teachers, TAs, and academic teams
- Develop Train-the-Trainer systems for Academic Coordinators and RHTs to strengthen coaching, observation, and feedback
- Support teacher recruitment, training pipelines, and readiness for premium partnerships
- Contribute to curriculum, materials, and assessment development (CEFR/IELTS-style, ESL programs)
- Collaborate with academic leadership to improve training quality and program effectiveness
Program Delivery & Improvement:
- Deliver induction, in-service, and refresher training
- Collect and evaluate feedback, implementing improvements
- Manage training resources and databases
- Review and enhance training content and curricula
Assessment & Curriculum Support:
- Support the design of placement and standardized assessments
- Contribute to curriculum development and materials selection
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with the Academic Manager, TA Management, and SL Director
- Prepare quarterly reports on training outcomes
- Provide lesson cover or demo classes when required
