Position Details
The Temporary History Teacher will be responsible for delivering established History courses using the provided curriculum, lesson plans, and teaching resources. The role requires effective classroom management and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach History to Grades 9 and 10 using existing curriculum materials.
- Deliver engaging lessons that support student learning and progress.
- Maintain accurate attendance and grading records.
- Build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Participate in faculty meetings and school activities.
- Collaborate with the department and school leadership for a smooth transition.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in History, Education, Social Studies, or a related field.
- Experience teaching secondary-level History or Social Studies.
- Familiarity with American or international secondary school curricula.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Valid teaching qualification or license preferred.
- Experience in an international school setting is advantageous.
