About this position
True North International School in Hanoi, Vietnam is seeking an energetic, creative, and dedicated Full-Time Social Studies Teacher to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-impact Social Studies lessons aligned with specific learning goals.
- Develop creative teaching methods and organize interactive learning activities to help students achieve their best results.
- Design assessments to evaluate learning effectiveness, adjust instruction proactively, and update student progress on the School’s LMS.
- Supervise and care for students beyond the classroom, including advisory tasks, lunch duties, clubs, and After-School Activities (ASA).
- Partner with the Social Studies Lead Teacher to create the Academic Year plan and generate fresh ideas for the department.
- Build respectful, cooperative relationships with parents through regular updates, academic reports, and 1-on-1 meetings.
- Participate in school events, support admissions and marketing initiatives for recruitment, and carry out WASC accreditation and MOET-related work as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, History, Social Sciences, or a related field (Teaching Credential/License preferred).
- Proven experience teaching Social Studies using modern, student-centered pedagogical approaches.
- Excellent classroom management, proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS), and strong communication skills.
