Mission: We are seeking a dynamic Senior Group Learning Experience Manager (SGLXM) to lead academic quality, learning experience excellence, and team development across our centres. This role is ideal for a strategic leader who combines strong academic judgement with business acumen and is passionate about building high-performing teams, improving outcomes through data, and creating scalable systems that support long-term organisational growth.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Development
Coach and develop teachers and centre teams to deliver exceptional learning experiences, ensuring alignment with organisational values, academic standards, and performance KPIs. Lead with clarity, consistency, and accountability, while building a strong pipeline of future leaders. - Academic Quality & Data-Driven Improvement
Oversee the quality of teaching and learning across all assigned centres. Monitor classroom quality, academic performance, and student outcomes, using data and feedback to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement. Support teachers in maintaining high standards in lesson delivery and learner progress. - Stakeholder Collaboration & Business Partnership
Serve as the primary academic point of contact for internal stakeholders, including Sales, Customer Experience, and Operations teams. Collaborate proactively with cross-functional partners and Heads of Department to resolve issues, improve processes, and support enrolment, retention, and overall centre performance. Communicate academic matters professionally and in a timely manner to parents, students, and internal partners. - Framework, System Building & Operational Efficiency
Contribute to the development of frameworks, processes, and systems that improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability across centres. Review and refine current operational policies and procedures where needed to ensure the Learning Experience function has the structure and flexibility to support growth and scale-up. Build trackable systems for academic quality and learner outcomes to enable reliable reporting and stronger decision-making. - Change Management
Lead teams through change with clarity, empathy, and structured planning, ensuring smooth implementation of new initiatives and operational improvements. - Performance, Compliance & Accountability
Ensure all academic administrative processes, including scheduling, reporting, and documentation, are completed accurately and on time. Maintain compliance with internal academic policies, operational standards, and relevant regulatory requirements. Set clear expectations, address performance issues constructively, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. - Direct Teaching Responsibilities
Deliver a designated number of teaching hours per week as agreed with line management, maintaining the same quality standards expected of all teachers. Model exemplary teaching practice to support a culture of continuous improvement and use classroom experience to inform coaching and academic decision-making.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in academic management; TESOL/ELT background preferred.
- Proven success in people development, conflict resolution, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to balance strategic priorities and day-to-day operations.
- Demonstrated ability to use data and insights to improve performance and support business outcomes.
- Experience in building systems, improving processes, and working in growth-oriented environments.
