Secondary Physical Education Teacher

PBISS International School in Koh Samui, Surat Thani, is seeking a dedicated Secondary Physical Education (PE) Teacher. You will play a vital role in encouraging physical fitness and an active lifestyle among students by delivering engaging PE lessons and supporting their overall development.

We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field. Teaching experience in an international or multicultural school setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging PE lessons suitable for diverse student backgrounds.
• Teach various sports, emphasizing movement skills, strategy, and sportsmanship.
• Encourage teamwork, discipline, and respect through all activities.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive PE curriculum.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Educate students on physical fitness, nutrition, and personal wellbeing.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Ensure student safety and follow health and safety procedures.
• Organize and oversee extracurricular sports activities and school events.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the school community.
• Participate in school events, meetings, professional development, and conferences.
• Uphold the school’s mission and values in all activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field.
• Teaching qualification or certification is preferred.
• Experience teaching PE, ideally in an international school.
• Strong knowledge of sports, physical fitness, and wellness.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with diverse students, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it.
