Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will bring strong subject expertise, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to student success. You will inspire students to reach their potential, contribute to the school community, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics to secondary students (Grades 7–12) using well-structured, differentiated lessons tailored to students’ abilities and curriculum standards.
• Create a stimulating classroom environment that fosters enthusiasm and motivation for Mathematics.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons incorporating varied teaching strategies and technology to accommodate diverse learners, including those with special educational needs.
• Assess, record, and monitor student progress; provide timely, constructive feedback and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
• Set and mark homework aligned with school policy and student workload.
• Promote high standards of behavior, punctuality, and organization in the classroom.
• Use English as a medium of instruction, supporting English for Academic Progress where necessary.
• Collaborate with the Head of Department, Academic Support, and counseling services to support students’ academic and pastoral needs.
• Promote a positive school culture through collaboration with colleagues; contribute to curriculum development, cross-curricular projects, and leadership activities within the school.
• Participate actively in extracurricular activities and undertake additional duties as requested by school leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (required)
• Proven experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary level
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Enthusiastic about education and ongoing professional growth
