We are looking for a NES Secondary Mathematics Homeroom Teacher with strong maths knowledge, good digital literacy, and a willingness to learn and use educational apps, digital platforms, and school systems.

About the Opportunity

• Position: Secondary Mathematics Homeroom Teacher
• Contract: Until March 2027 (renewable upon mutual agreement)
• Start Date: Immediately or for the upcoming intake
• Work Location: Secondary Department, Kajonkietsuksa School, Phuket, Thailand

Essential Qualifications

• Language Proficiency: Must be a native English speaker, or a native-level speaker from a country where English is the primary language of communication and instruction.
• Academic Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is the minimum requirement under the regulations set by the Thai Ministry of Education.
• Specialized Credentials: A degree or teaching qualification specifically in Mathematics, Secondary Education, or a PGCE/PGDE is highly preferred.
• Teaching Experience: Prior experience teaching middle school or high school students is strongly recommended and will be given priority.

• Passionate about teaching middle school or high school students with diverse language abilities.
• Ready to call Phuket home for 1-2 years while immersing yourself in Thai culture.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Maths lessons for 18–20 periods per week (depending on individual timetables), tailored to students' developmental stages and mixed second-language abilities.
• Create, adapt, grade, and provide feedback on summative assessments, while assisting with examination preparation and invigilation.
• Serve as a dedicated homeroom teacher, guiding your assigned student cohort and nurturing their emotional, academic, and social growth.
• Work closely with a local Thai homeroom co-teacher to manage classroom dynamics, track student well-being, and maintain strong communication with parents.
• Contribute positively to the Secondary Department and the wider school community.

What We Offer

• Compensation: 40,000-60,000 THB/month (salary is determined by qualifications, experience, and teaching assignments)
