Euroamerican College is seeking a qualified, experienced, and passionate Secondary Humanities Teacher to join our academic team for the 2027 school year.
We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who can inspire students to develop historical awareness, critical thinking, global citizenship, and a deeper understanding of social, political, and economic issues.
Start Date: February 10, 2027.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in Education, specializing in Social Sciences, History, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Peruvian and World History at the secondary school level.
- Experience teaching Economics.
- Experience teaching Social Studies, Citizenship, and Civic Education.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the Peruvian National Curriculum.
- Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP).
- Experience preparing students for research projects, presentations, debates, and Model United Nations (MUN).
- Advanced proficiency in both English and Spanish, written and spoken.
- Ability to implement teaching strategies that promote historical inquiry, critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and responsible citizenship.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in digital teaching tools and educational platforms.
- Experience working in bilingual or IB schools is highly desirable.
Additional Requirements for International Applicants
- An apostilled police clearance certificate issued by the relevant authorities in the applicant's home country.
- Willingness to relocate to Lima, Peru, and complete the necessary immigration procedures.
Employment Conditions and Benefits
- Start date: February 10, 2027.
- Contract duration: February 2027 to December 2028 (foreign employee contract).
- Immigration support: The school covers 100% of the costs associated with the immigration status change from tourist to foreign worker in Peru.
