About this position
Learn Satit Pattana School (LSP) in Bangkok is currently seeking a qualified and passionate ESL Teacher to join our team under the ISP Program. This is a full-time, fixed-term position teaching English as a Second Language to secondary-level students (Grades 7-11) following the U.S. curriculum.
The role offers the opportunity to inspire language proficiency, promote a love of learning, and potentially grow into a leadership role within the English department.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging ESL lessons to improve students' reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
- Foster English proficiency through varied teaching strategies.
- Develop a master plan for advancing students' CEFR levels.
- Create courses for standardized English exams such as IELTS and SAT.
- Promote critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication.
- Assess student progress, integrate real-world learning experiences, and support standardized test preparation.
- Collaborate with colleagues for instructional alignment and mentor fellow teachers for departmental leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in English, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification in ESL or TESOL preferred.
- A teaching license from Kurusapa is advantageous.
- Native English speaker with at least 3-4 years of secondary school teaching experience.
- Proven ability in curriculum design and experience with CEFR progression and standardized exam preparation.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to foster an inclusive learning environment.
