Secondary Chinese Teacher

Montessori Academy Bangkok International School is seeking a dedicated, child-focused Chinese Language Teacher to join our international faculty. This full-time role involves teaching Chinese at the secondary level using project-based and experiential approaches. Start date: Spring or August 2026. Location: Bangkok, Thailand.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Montessori diploma for ages 3-6 or 6-12 (AMI, AMS, or MACTE)
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, including experience in international schools
• Valid Teaching License from China or Taiwan
• Putonghua Proficiency Test (PSC) Level 2-A or above
• Expertise in one or more of the following is highly desirable: Chinese Language, Education, Chinese History, Chinese Classics/Philosophy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Drama, Dance, Music, Art, or Martial Arts
• Experience teaching Chinese as a foreign or additional language
• Experience in Montessori, IB, AP, or project-oriented programs is preferred
• Strong skills in designing and facilitating project-based learning and interdisciplinary units
• Effective communication in English
• A genuine passion for working with children and young people; warm, compassionate, patient, and with excellent interpersonal skills
• Creative, energetic, and able to make learning engaging and joyful
• A collaborative team player who thrives in a multicultural school environment
