About this position
Norwich International School Bangkok, located in Samut Sakhon, is seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic Secondary Chinese Teacher (Head) to join our team. This full-time position is set to begin in August and offers a competitive salary of at least ฿50,000 per month.
As the Head of the Secondary Chinese Department, you will lead the development of our Chinese language program and deliver high-quality instruction to secondary students.
Responsibilities
- Teach Chinese to secondary students
- Develop and improve the Chinese curriculum
- Design learning resources and assessments
- Mentor teaching staff
- Collaborate with school leadership and parents
- Actively participate in school events and professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chinese, Education, or a related field
- Recognized teaching qualification or license
- Proven experience teaching Chinese at the secondary level
- Familiarity with the Cambridge Secondary curriculum is preferred
- Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme and leading a department or coordinating a Chinese program is highly desirable
- Ability to prepare students for the HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) examinations is an advantage
