About Us

Panyadee – The British International School of Samui (PBISS) is seeking a passionate and well-qualified teacher to join our Secondary team, teaching Business Studies and/or Economics to students from Year 9 through IGCSE and A-Level. This is a unique opportunity to live and teach on one of Thailand’s most iconic islands while contributing to a progressive and results-focused learning environment.

Location: Koh Samui

Start Date: 25 August 2025

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a range of student abilities and year groups.
• Support curriculum development and academic interventions as needed.
• Assess and report student progress following school policies.
• Actively contribute to co-curricular programmes and enrichment activities.
• Participate in parent meetings and school events as required.
• Promote the wellbeing and safeguarding of all students.
• Engage in professional learning and development with support from school leadership.

Qualifications

• An education degree is needed.
• Recognised teaching qualification required (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent).

Ideal Candidate

• Be passionate about Business Studies and/or Economics with strong subject knowledge.
• Have experience teaching IGCSE and/or A-Level (preferred).
• Be enthusiastic about holistic education and student wellbeing.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Be open to sharing best practices and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Show flexibility, motivation, and a commitment to continuous professional growth.
• Be ICT literate and open to using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Respect confidentiality and intellectual property of colleagues and the school.
