About the Role
Satit Bilingual School of Rangsit University (SBS) is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and professionally qualified Science Teacher with a strong background in Biology to join our international secondary teaching team. The successful candidate will teach lower and/or upper secondary Science and Biology and may be considered for the role of Head of Science Department if suitably experienced. The candidate will support student development through curricular and extracurricular activities and contribute positively to the wider school community.
Responsibilities
- Teach Science and Biology to lower and/or upper secondary students in line with the Cambridge International Curriculum (IGCSE & AS/A Level) and Thai MoE requirements.
- Provide academic and professional leadership as Head of Science Department (for appointed candidates), including curriculum oversight, departmental planning, and staff support.
- Prepare curriculum plans, lesson plans, schemes of work, and teaching resources; manage academic information via the school’s administrative systems.
- Adapt teaching methods and learning strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, including EAL learners.
- Design and conduct practical laboratory experiments safely and effectively.
- Assess student attainment, monitor academic progress, and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Establish clear classroom expectations and support students’ academic, social, and personal development.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behaviour, and wellbeing.
- Plan and implement remedial and enrichment programmes where required.
- Attend faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and whole-school events.
- Plan and support extracurricular activities such as science clubs, competitions, and academic events.
- Undertake additional professional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Biology, Life Sciences, Education, or a related field.
- Recognised professional teaching qualification / licence / certification.
- A Master’s degree is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification teaching experience in a structured school environment.
- Proven experience teaching Biology and/or Science at lower and/or upper secondary level.
- Experience teaching Cambridge International programmes (IGCSE & AS/A Level) and familiarity with Thai MoE expectations.
- Leadership experience within a Science department (required for Head of Department consideration).
- Experience working with international curricula, EAL learners, and multicultural school communities.
- Practical experience delivering laboratory-based science lessons.

- Fluent English speaker (minimum C1 level).
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
- Effective classroom management and collaborative teamwork skills.
