Residential & Homestay EFL Teachers

Anglophiles Academic has run English language and activity programmes for young overseas students for over 50 years. We are a private educational company founded in 1973 with a reputation for quality and professionalism. Our students are mainly aged 11 to 17.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Anglophiles staff, including local organisers and group leaders on-site.
• Host Family Programme & Residential Programme: carry out English language tests on the first day and adjust student placements based on provisional class lists.
• Discover Programmes: deliver the interactive student activity booklet.
• If working full-time, accompany and supervise students during excursions and breaks, ensuring their safe return to host family homes.
• Prepare students for excursions and provide a course summary on the last teaching day.
• Ensure discipline, safety, and student well-being; report any issues to Anglophiles Head Office.
• Complete required reports promptly, including Daily Report Sheets, End of Course Summary Report, and individual Student Reports.

Collaboration

• Work closely with residential staff, homestay local organisers, and leaders to ensure a seamless learning experience.
• Share best practices with colleagues to enhance the overall language education programme.

Job Summary

We are seeking qualified and enthusiastic EFL teachers for our Residential, Discover and Homestay programmes. The ideal candidate will create an immersive English learning experience for students in residential, discover, and homestay settings. Full board accommodation is provided if required. All successful candidates must attend an online briefing held approximately two weeks before the start of each course.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English or Education.
• TEFL, TESOL, CELTA (120-hour certification) or PGCE.
• Experience is preferred.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure is essential; willingness to purchase one if you are not subscribed to the update service.

Salary

Salary is dependent on experience and length of the contract.
