Researcher English Test Editor in Seoul

The Language Education Institute (LEI) at Seoul National University is looking for dedicated and qualified English test editors to join as full-time researchers.

Qualifications

• Applicants must hold a master’s degree.
• Applicants must be native English speakers or bilingual Koreans.
• Prior editing experience is not required, but it is preferred.
• Candidates should be able to help maintain the integrity of TEPS (Test of English Proficiency developed by Seoul National University).

Job Description

Full-time researchers will be responsible for developing, writing, reviewing, editing, proofreading, and scoring test items for TEPS and other tests created by the TEPS Center. We are seeking skilled writers who can produce substantial amounts of content on various topics within set timelines, according to test specifications.

Working Hours

The working hours are 7 hours per day, 35 hours per week, with a 1-hour break.

Salary

The annual salary is 34,000,000 KRW, with overtime opportunities for additional income. Upon contract completion, a severance payment is provided.

Housing

Non-Korean citizens will receive 600,000 KRW per month for housing support. Accommodation options include a minimally furnished faculty apartment near the campus, or you may find off-campus housing independently.

Vacation

Employees are entitled to four weeks of paid annual leave.

• Non-Korean citizens will receive 1,000,000 KRW for airfare at the end of the contract.
• Participation in the National Pension and Health Insurance Plans is mandatory.
• This is a renewable one-year contract.
