Private English Tutor for Children
About this position
Maitreya Dharma School in Chiang Mai is seeking three part-time private English tutors to teach two eight-year-old children. The position offers at least ฿500 per hour. Tutors will conduct one-on-one lessons, with separate lessons for each child. Classes are held at the students' homes during the daytime in the Hang Dong area of Chiang Mai.
Responsibilities
- Teach English with a focus on phonics, spelling, listening, speaking, pronunciation, reading, writing, and basic grammar and vocabulary.
- Design engaging one-on-one lessons suitable for young learners.
Requirements
- Native English speaker with clear and accurate pronunciation.
- Experience teaching English to elementary school students or children of a similar age.
- Familiarity with systematic phonics teaching and beginner reading and writing instruction.
- Patient, punctual, responsible, and skilled at encouraging children.
- Teaching qualifications such as TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or an equivalent educational background are preferred.
Work Arrangements
- Part-time position.
- One-on-one classes are conducted during the daytime, with specific times negotiable.
- Location: Hang Dong area in Chiang Mai; on-site teaching is required.
- Salary is negotiable depending on experience, qualifications, and course arrangements.
