About this position
KK International School (KKIS) in Mae Sot, Thailand, is seeking a dedicated Primary Art Teacher for an immediate start. This is a full-time position teaching art to primary students using the British Curriculum. The school is located near the Thai–Myanmar border and serves a diverse community of Thai and Burmese families. KKIS is expanding its primary programme and developing a new campus, providing opportunities for professional growth in an international school setting.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate art lessons for primary students.
- Introduce students to fundamental art techniques and materials.
- Foster creativity and confidence in students' artistic expression.
- Support interdisciplinary learning by connecting art with subjects such as history and culture.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and organized classroom environment.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress; keep records and share feedback with students and parents.
- Manage art materials and equipment, ensuring proper care and replenishment.
- Collaborate with colleagues on school projects and events.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school activities.
- Uphold school policies on child protection, health, and safety.
- Bachelor’s degree in Art, Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field.
- Preferred experience teaching primary or early years art; new teachers with strong potential are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with art materials, techniques, and creative activities for children.
- Ability to manage a classroom and engage young learners.
- Willingness to adapt to the British Curriculum.
- Basic computer skills, including Google Drive.
- Police background check and two references required.
Salary is based on qualifications and experience, aligned with KKIS Staff Policy.
- Non-B Visa and work permit support for non-Thai staff.
- 12-month salary package with housing allowance (where applicable).
- Inclusion in the Social Security Fund for eligible staff.
