Part Time ECA Coach and Assistant Coach

Beyond Books is an Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) solutions provider working with international and bilingual schools across Thailand. We specialize in life-skill-based programs that develop creativity, communication, critical thinking, confidence, leadership, and entrepreneurship in young learners.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and qualified freelance / part-time Coaches and Assistant Coaches to deliver engaging courses for students from Nursery through Secondary School. Team members can choose the courses and age groups they are most comfortable working with, and schedules are flexible on a term-by-term basis.

Courses We Offer

• Nursery: Storytelling, Craft & Tell, Little Adventurers, Little Comic Creators, Little Astronauts
• Kindergarten: Creative Expression (Public Speaking), Storytelling, Craft & Tell, Little Adventurers, Little Comic Creators, Little Astronauts
• Primary (Junior & Senior Levels): Public Speaking, Creative Writing, Kidpreneur, Brand Builders, Graphic Design (Canva), Craft & Tell, Comic Creators, Junior Astronauts, Photography
• Secondary: Presentation Skills, Creative Writing, Entrepreneurship, Brand Builders, Graphic Design, AI & Me, Photography

Schedule & Commitment

• Classes are conducted in person at assigned international and bilingual schools across Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket.
• Class duration ranges from 40 to 60 minutes.
• Most classes take place after school, typically from 2:30 PM onwards.
• Coaches and Assistant Coaches may choose their available teaching days each term.
• Teaching schedules remain consistent throughout the term.
• Each course runs for approximately 8 to 12 weeks (one school term).
• Once assigned to a course, team members are expected to complete the full term commitment.
• Availability may be adjusted between terms.

Compensation

• Coach: Starting rate of 1,000 THB per class
• Assistant Coach: Starting rate of 500 THB per hour

Additional Benefits

• Performance and length-of-service-based salary increments
• Travel allowance available for schools located beyond convenient public transportation access
• Additional travel support may be considered for locations outside central service areas
• Opportunity for both Coaches and Assistant Coaches to select their preferred age groups, grade levels, and course areas, subject to availability

Responsibilities

• Deliver Beyond Books courses using the provided curriculum, lesson plans, and resources
• Review lesson plans and prepare all required materials before each class
• Arrive at the school at least 15 minutes before the scheduled class time (30 minutes before the first class of a new course)
• Maintain accurate student attendance records
• Complete student progress reports and digital portfolios where required
• Support students in achieving the intended learning outcomes of the course
• Ensure the safety, well-being, and engagement of all students during class activities
• Escort students to the designated dismissal area at the conclusion of each session
• Maintain clear, professional communication with the Beyond Books management team
• Attend all required training, orientation, and professional development sessions

Qualifications

Coach

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
• Relevant teaching, coaching, facilitation, or workshop experience
• Experience working with children is essential
• Subject matter expertise in one or more course areas is an advantage
• Fluent English communication skills

Assistant Coach

• University students, recent graduates, or individuals with experience working with children are encouraged to apply
• Strong communication and classroom support skills
• Interest in education, creativity, and child development
• Fluent English communication skills

For All Applicants

• Police clearance from the country of passport issuance
• Thai Police Clearance Certificate, or willingness to obtain one with support from Beyond Books
• Valid visa permitting residence and work in Thailand
