About Us

Nevy's Language is a platform for live, online group English classes for adult immigrants in Canada and the USA. We have recently included London, France and Moroco. We provide affordable learning for adult immigrants to North America and some European cities by offering low-cost, live classes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Students

Our students are 25–45 year-old adult immigrants, predominantly based in Canada and the USA, with recent expansion to European markets. 75% of our students are at Level 2 or below (beginners).

Levels

• We offer five levels: Foundation, Starter, Beginner, Elementary and Pre-Intermediate.
• We offer separate Grammar and Conversational classes.
• Most levels are 16 weeks long.
• We provide teaching materials and teacher guides.

Responsibilities

We run group English classes. Each group is taught by one teacher and has up to 6–8 students. We offer several times of day for each level to accommodate different time zones. A group meets Monday to Friday at the same time (5 hours of learning per week).

How We Pay

• Students pay CAD $3, $4 and $5 per hour for classes.
• Pay is per group and paid monthly.
• You can make CAD $200 per month per group.
• Payment is made on the 1st of every month for the previous month's work; direct deposit is available.
• You may take on up to 9 groups, including a weekend group.

Commitment and Attendance

• Minimum commitment is 4 months for each assigned group. Leaving before 4 months will result in a deduction of pay.
• Abandoning a group within the first week will forfeit payment for that group.
• We have a strict absence policy; only one absence per calendar month is permitted.

How Classes Are Assigned

Our student recruitment team signs up students. Based on requested level and time, groups are created and posted on an internal board. Teachers may assign themselves to available groups.

Qualifications

• Certification such as TEFL, TESL Canada, TESOL, CELTA or equivalent teaching experience.
• Great attitude, patience, kindness and enthusiasm for working with adult learners.
• High energy and effective teaching style.

Requirements

• Comfort and speed with technology.
• High-quality headset, microphone and camera.
• Internet speed of 30+ Mbps.
