NES Kindergarten Teacher
About this position
Earl Montessori is seeking a dedicated NES Kindergarten Teacher to join our team in Chon Buri, Thailand. We are looking for a passionate educator who embraces the Montessori philosophy and is eager to guide and inspire young minds.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop individualized learning plans tailored to each child's interests and abilities.
- Prepare a Montessori environment that encourages independent and self-directed learning.
- Observe, record, and assess children's growth, behavior, and progress.
- Foster a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive non-competitive atmosphere.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and progress.
- Inspire children in self-motivated learning and encourage their natural curiosity.
- Provide hands-on materials and resources for exploration, learning activities, and imaginative play.
- Teach practical life skills, including dressing, feeding, and grooming.
- Respect and acknowledge each child's individuality, avoiding comparisons.
- Encourage positive social interactions among children.
- Introduce math, language, science, and social studies concepts through prepared materials.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and inviting classroom environment, addressing minor cleaning tasks as needed.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Stay updated with Montessori methods, child development research, and school policies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an educational or childcare setting; Montessori experience is a plus.
- Montessori certification (AMI, AMS, or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and Montessori philosophy.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, nurturing, responsible, and culturally sensitive.
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to work on weekends.
- Physical ability to assist young children and manage classroom setup.
