About the Role

Join a global team of teachers to provide high-quality English instruction to young Taiwanese learners. With the support of a head teacher and area manager and working closely with administrative staff, you will use HESS Education's proprietary curriculum to plan and teach fun and comprehensive English lessons that center your students. You will guide students through all aspects of the English language and encourage them to use it freely and naturally.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons using the proprietary curriculum
• Grade homework and assessments
• Communicate student progress to parents through written reports
• Collaborate with colleagues to organize extracurricular events

Qualifications

• Passport from a country where English is an official language (required for legal work authorization)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an approved institution (holders of a US associate’s degree plus a TEFL certificate may also qualify)
• Pass a national-level criminal background check
• Teaching certification and prior teaching experience are not required but can be helpful
• Ideal candidates should be interested in working with children, open to living in a new country, empathetic, and adaptable
