MYP Design and STREAM Facilitator
About this position
Pan-Asia International School in Bangkok is seeking a qualified MYP Design / STREAM Facilitator for an immediate start. This role involves teaching MYP 1 and MYP 2 students with a focus on STREAM education, particularly through VEX IQ robotics and Micro:bit programming. The position emphasizes inquiry-based learning, teamwork, and the IB Design Cycle to enhance students’ creativity, problem-solving, and innovation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach MYP 1 and 2 Design, delivering lessons aligned with IB standards.
- Guide students in building and programming VEX IQ robots and competing.
- Introduce coding and electronics through hands-on Micro:bit projects.
- Instruct on the Design Cycle: inquiry, planning, creating, and evaluation.
- Collaborate with faculty on interdisciplinary projects.
- Ensure student safety and wellbeing at all times.
Applicants must provide acceptable police checks from their country of origin and the local country, as well as references from current and previous employers. A Bachelor's Degree in the field and a minimum of 2 to 3 consecutive years of teaching experience in international schools are required to be eligible for a work permit in Thailand. Having a degree in education and IB school teaching experience is advantageous.
