About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will teach secondary students (Grades 9–11) using the U.S. curriculum. This role offers an opportunity to inspire learners, strengthen their mathematical understanding, and foster critical thinking within a supportive and innovative learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with the U.S. curriculum.
• Develop students’ understanding of core mathematical concepts, including algebra, geometry, statistics, and calculus, and strengthen problem-solving, analytical, and reasoning skills.
• Incorporate applied mathematics topics, such as business mathematics and personal finance, where relevant, to connect learning to real-world situations.
• Differentiate instruction using a variety of teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and styles.
• Integrate project-based learning to promote critical thinking, creativity, and practical application of mathematical concepts.
• Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative classroom environment that encourages student engagement and academic excellence.
• Teach Advanced Placement (AP) courses and prepare students for college-level study.
• Support outstanding students in extracurricular programs, including preparation for national and global mathematics competitions.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional planning, and broader school initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, Business, or a related field.
• Teaching license from Kurusapa (temporary or permanent) preferred.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of teaching experience in secondary mathematics (Grades 9–11) preferred; experience with AP courses is a plus.
• Native English speaker.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative learning environment.
• Familiarity with educational technology and digital tools for teaching and assessment.
